Mrs. Aynur Salmanova
“Language is the most direct bridge between peoples — and the Azerbaijan Language and Culture Center at NUML stands as a testament to the enduring friendship and shared aspirations of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.” It is with immense pride and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the Azerbaijan Language and Culture Center (ALC) — a unique and pioneering institution, proudly housed within the Faculty of Languages at the National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad. This center represents far more than a language classroom. It is a living bridge between two brotherly nations — a space where curiosity transforms into competence, where cultural appreciation flourishes, and where meaningful connections are forged across borders. As the first and only dedicated Azerbaijani language center in Pakistan, the ALC Center occupies a truly special place in the landscape of language education in our country. Our programs are designed to accommodate learners at every stage — from those taking their very first steps in Azerbaijani to those developing communicative proficiency — all guided by a qualified native speaker instructor who brings authenticity, depth, and cultural insight to every lesson. Beyond language acquisition, our events, seminars, and cultural programs open windows onto Azerbaijan’s remarkable history, arts, traditions, and contemporary achievements. I warmly invite students, academics, diplomats, professionals, and all those who share a love of languages and cultures to engage with this center — attend our events, enroll in our courses, and become part of a growing community that believes in the power of linguistic and intercultural understanding to shape a more connected and peaceful world.
Language is our great distinction and prerogative which sets us apart from the animal kingdom. It defines us in myriad ways as we largely are what we speak. At the same time, it is one of the strongest mainstays of our identity. We owe to it our culture, history, science, civilization, philosophy, art, literature, civilization and what not.
