It was a modest beginning in summer 2006, and today, the Department of Korean Language and Culture is one of the most vibrant places at NUML. From a range of courses to top-notch faculty, and, from state-of-the-art infrastructure to a collection of unmatched resources in the country, we have indeed come a long way in strengthening Korean Language and Culture Education in Pakistan. Special emphasis was given upon curriculum updating and faculty development programs. We take pride to operate with a student-centric approach. A range of courses are being offered both on-campus and online with an extremely affordable fee structure. Knowing Korean language doesn’t just give you an edge in your endeavors for higher education or employment, it opens up the gates to an exotic culture and rich history. We are doing our best to inculcate the basic values of both countries in our students to foster harmony and inclusiveness. Our students actively participate in curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular events and competitions. A strong bond with alumni is ensuring our students stay connected from various parts of the world. We welcome you all for a lasting, refreshing and learning experience where all of us grow together.
Department of Korean was established on Aug 16, 2006. It was a result of rigorous efforts of Korean embassy in Islamabad, NUML’s positive cooperation, and support of ‘The Korea Foundation’. NUML is the only university in Pakistan offering Korean language and culture education to masses. We have a great combination of local and native speaker teachers who are putting their best efforts to further develop the department and are leading by example. Abundant resources for research are available in central library, Korea Corner and Korean Research Center. We are doing our best to facilitate the people proceeding to Korea for education, research, travel, business and other related motives.
